Straz S Vostoka Queen Of My Heart
"Mana"
Mana is my first female Papillon. She came to me from her breeder in Ukraine at 10 months old, the same one that Sprite is from. Her breeder wasn’t set on rehoming Mana and hadn’t even advertised that she was available but when I was discussing Sprite with her, she brought Mana up as well because she thought she would be a very good fit for me based on all our discussions. So I took her up on the offer and decided to bring home two new Paps!
As Mana settled in from her long journey, she began showing her true colors and sweet temperament. She’s a majorly loving and affectionate dog, sweet to the core, loves to snuggle up with you. She’s a pretty calm girl most of the time, until she gets playful and blasts all around while snapping her teeth like a little shark! I’ve only seen Whippets, Shepherds, and Malinois snap and pop their teeth like Mana does when she’s excited and I totally love it. She has a lot of toy drive. She came with a natural retrieve and loves to play fetch. She’s very bouncy and has great hops. She has a really good grip and puts toys deep in the back of her mouth, also like a little working dog. At first she wasn’t sure about tugging but now she’s turning on to that as well.
Mana is completely obsessed with Whimsy, he’s her favorite dog, but she’s integrated into the whole pack with ease and gets along with everyone. She’s a lover girl and very nice and easy to live with, which I like because my Papillon boys are both a little wild! Mana would happily lay around in your lap all day if you wanted to. She’s a perfect little lady.
Mana is around 6lbs now but still has some room to grow and fill out. She comes from a line of really great mother dogs, with her own dam having litters between 5 and 10 puppies with no issues, and I have high hopes for her as a breeding candidate in my program. I’ll be doing her OFA testing soon, and she has been DNA tested and is clear for NAD, PRA, vWD1.
